Shootout ON and 8 comp Junior season get ready!

Club news just in it looks like Local board-riding clubs will be able to operate competitions from around 15th June with a maximum of 20 crew in and around the comp area. The Noosa Boardriders Club committee will make an announcement soon on a start date for Junior comps with the season pushed back and now an 8 comp season.

Club Comps Under Discussion

Sunny Days! Noosa Board Riders Club Committee are in discussions on opening up the competition season again. It’s a way off yet, however keep up to date on NBC social media as the situation is changing quickly. Once Surfing Qld gets the nod it will be on.

We are winning

Fun beach-breaks this week, clean mornings, light winds and plenty of banks to get your surfercise in. The swell seems to pulse a little on the incoming so keep an eye out for an afternoon session. Noosa for a ripple ride not much going on at the points. Low tide only for a walk, paddle and occasional set.

Life Members Celebrate

A lot of froth in and out of the water this week with Noosa Boardriders Club life members celebrating birthdays last week. “MF” Mark Fielding and David “Chucky” Cervi club stalwarts raised their glasses to another year. Shotgun Shootout

The Noosa Boardriders Club Shotgun Shootout sprang into action last weekend in perfect 3ft conditions. Groomed walls with room for cover ups and big airs. The competition was tight with Aaron Kelly taking first place over Noah Stocca.

The east swell and S winds persisted throughout last week pushing 2-4ft walls through Granite and Ti-Tree Bay. National smaller at around 2ft and First Point a low tide only option.

What a week of waves!

TC Uesi came and went driving a solid 6-8ft swell a direct hit on the points. At times a washing machine with extra bump and then patches of rogue perfection at The Pot.

Noosa World Surfing Reserve Announcement

Noosa will be declared a World Surfing Reserve this Friday, 21 February, becoming only the third Australian surfing destination to be so honoured, but surfing royalty from around the world is expected to start arriving about a week before to enjoy some small runners at the Noosa points.
